Bankruptcy can be daunting to those who are not regularly exposed to this area. Business and personal financial failures happen, however, our substantial, wide-ranging and hands-on experience enables us to provide sound counsel when they do. Our attorneys have represented institutional and individual lenders, investors, mortgagees, venture capitalists, publishers, factors, landlords, credit card companies, sellers, purchasers and employees, among others, as secured and unsecured creditors, as well as court-appointed Trustees and petitioning creditors, in small, medium-sized and large cases under Chapters 11, 7 and 13 of the Bankruptcy Code.  We often participate in out-of-court restructurings and liquidations.  We currently represent court-appointed Receivers in large scale shopping center, mixed use property, and single family housing development cases.

Our attorneys have successfully represented publicly held and private companies as debtors and debtors-in-possession in business reorganization and liquidation cases, and in non-judicial debt workouts, liquidations and state insolvency proceedings in diverse areas, including retail sales, manufacturing, commercial real estate, graphic design, dairy product distribution, advertising, construction, marketing research, health care product distribution, funeral-related services and professional services.  We are regularly called upon to advise doctors, accountants and other attorneys.

We have represented individuals as debtors in hundreds of cases under Chapters 7, 11 and 13 of the Bankruptcy Code.  We also currently represent thousands of consumers in out-of-court, unsecured debt negotiations.
